4.18% 5-year CD at American Metro Bank

American Metro Bank has a decent long-term CD: a 5-year CD returning 4.18% APY.  The CD has a $10,000 minimum.  Unfortunately, to receive that rate you must “open a non-interest bearing checking account with a minimum of one direct deposit transaction and three additional transactions per month.”  The rate is scheduled to continue through at least the end of the month.

American Metro Bank has four branches, including three in Chicago: the Main Bank at 4878 N. Broadway Ave., the Chinatown Branch at 2144A S. Archer Ave., and the Fullerton Branch at 4903 W. Fullerton Ave. The fourth branch is at 667 N. Cass Ave. in Westmont.
