Chase is offering an interesting incentive for opening a checking account with them: A free iPod Shuffle. To get the iPod, you need to open a Free Checking account and establish Direct Deposit within 60 days. The checking account must remain open for 6 months or Chase will charge your account $79 (the cost of the iPod Shuffle). This promotion is available at all Chase branches in Illinois and in Chase branches in Lake County, LaPorte County and Porter County in Indiana. The iPod offer is valid through December 30th.

Chase is offering a $100 bonus for opening a Chase Free Checking Account with direct deposit. All that’s necessary is to print out this webpage and bring it into any Chase branch. The offer is valid through the end of August. The checking account needs to stay open for six months to keep the bonus, although the bonus will be deposited into the account within 10 days.
