3.51% APY for $100K+ at Valley Community Bank

With rates falling as far as they have, Valley Community Bank has a surprisingly high savings account rate still available: Their statement savings account is earning 3.51% APY.  Unfortunately, you must have over $100,000 in savings to receive this rate.  Amounts less than that earn a meager 0.25% APY.  Valley Community Bank also has a couple decent CD rates out there: a 9-month CD yielding 2.75% APY and a 17-month CD yielding 3.25% APY.  Both the CDs have a $1000 minimum and $99,000 maximum.

Valley Community Bank has six locations: three in St. Charles and one each in Batavia, Geneva, and North Aurora.

4.00% Savings Account at Valley Community Bank

Valley Community Bank has the best local non-promo savings account I’ve seen recently.  Their statement savings account is earning 4.00% APY.  Unfortunately, you must have over $100,000 in savings to receive this rate; amounts less than that earn only 0.25% APY.
