5.55% APY CD for 5 months at Citizens Equity First Credit Union
For those readers who live in Central Illinois: Citizens Equity First Credit Union (known as CEFCU) has a special 5-month, 5.55% CD. The rate is available through next Tuesday (August 21st). There is a $5000 minimum on this CD.
CEFCU is open to anyone who works for or is retired from Caterpillar, as well as anyone who lives or works in any of the following Illinois counties: Fulton, Knox, Livingston, Logan, Macon, Marshall, Mason, McLean, Peoria, Putnam, Sangamon, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford. There are 20 locations: seven in Peoria and one each in Bloomington, Canton, Chillicothe, Decatur, East Peoria, Germantown Hills, Lincoln, Morton, Normal, Pekin, Peoria, Springfield, and Washington. CEFCU has 229,000 members and is the second-largest credit union in Illinois.
